P5s look after some fish
23rd Feb 2026
The Primary Fives have the job of looking after some trout eggs and get the opportunity to watch them grow and develop into fry before they get released back into the river. Glenavy Conservation and Angling Club provided the funding and opportunity for our pupils to experience this hoping children will become more aware of their local environment and take care to ensure local animals like trout thrive.
