❄️ Winter Walk ❄️

9th Jan 2026

Today, the boys and girls in primary one went on a winter walk in our school grounds. We wanted to experience the season of winter, using our five senses πŸ‘€πŸ‘‚πŸ‘ƒβœ‹πŸ‘…

We thoroughly enjoyed engaging in this sensory exploration…

We saw lots of signs of winter, such as ice on the footpath. We listened carefully for winter sounds and heard a little robin redbreast singing us a winter song and we heard our footsteps crunching in the grass. We used our sense of touch to feel the icy leaves and the cold on our rosy red cheeks. We also noticed some winter smells around us and we even got to use our sense of taste when drinking some yummy hot chocolate when we returned to our classroom! πŸ«β˜•

The children did a fantastic job of observing, describing, sharing ideas, and enjoying their winter experience!
