Welcome to our school website. I hope it provides you with an insight into life at Ballymacrickett Primary School and Nursery Unit. Ballymacrickett is a rural school with over 300 pupils and situated a mile from the village of Glenavy. Our school building was built in 2008 and is spacious, modern and contains the latest technology and resources required to deliver the Northern Ireland Curriculum.

As a Catholic school we have a caring and inclusive ethos where every child is made to feel happy and safe. We also value the importance of academic achievement and every child reaching their potential. For these reasons, we live by our school motto of, “Happy Together, Learning Forever.” To achieve this, we encourage every child to be kind to others and to try their best in everything they do.

Here at Ballymacrickett we value the importance of community to which the children are central. Supporting the children’s holistic growth is our priority so they develop their personal skills and interests as well as morals and values. Over the years it has been rewarding to see our pupils progress in Ballymacrickett and indeed our past pupils succeed in their further education and extra curricular achievements.
