CRED Project A Huge Success

Date: April 2, 2015 Author: Niall Categories: Events, News, Our Program

Ballymacrickett Primary School and Ballinderry Primary School came together over the past couple of months to show community relations through learning. This was a great chance for the boys and girls of both schools to come together. This project was funded by CRED and was extremely benefical to Mr O’Neill’s primary five class as well as Mr Mehaffey’s primary five Ballinderry class. The programme used Literacy, Maths, World Around Us and ICT to examine the similarities and differences between us. The project finished with an educational trip to Cultra to look at the past and our different cultures. This was strongly linked with the United Nations Rights of a Child and looked especially at Article 7, The Right To A Name, Article 15, The Right To Meet With Others and Article 28, The Right To An Education. We would like to thank CRED for their funding and also Ballinderry Primary School for helping facilitate these activities.
