Ballymacrickett Primary School have continued on with more success in Gaelic football. The boys and girls have competed all year with great enthusiasm and dedication. Both teams have tasted success throughout the year with the boys and girls both winning the seven a side South West Antrim Championship. These culminated in an All Antrim Final on Monday 8th June. The boys and girls had to compete against the Belfast champions and the North Antrim Champions. The girls began with a hard-fought match against Bunscoil Phobail Feiriste overcoming these girls with a score line of 1-1 to 1-0 with Eva Ramsey getting the decisive goal towards the end. They then played St. Joseph’s Dunloy in another tight match the girls came through 0-2 to 0-1 to become All Antrim Champions. The boys were up against the same teams in their competition. They opened up against a well-drilled, talented team getting beat 2-4 to 1-1. The boys although disappointed knew they had another match to change the situation. The boys played excellently in their second match winning 2-6 to 1-1. Due to this win they came runners up. We would like to thank all the boys and girls who took part, All Saints for hosting the event and everyone associated with¬†Cumann Na mBunscol. Well done boys and girls!
